USA Triathlon Youth Splash & Dash and Pedal – Dash Series is NEW to Tri Tek Events.
Events are open to athletes ages 6 thru 11.
The focus is on PARTICIPATION rather than competition. The series will expose youth participants to USA Triathlons and the exciting world of multisport! This event will not be timed.

WHAT IS A SPLASH AND DASH or PEDAL DASH?
A Splash and Dash or Pedal Dash is a fun and fast-growing sport that combines Swim/Run or Bike/Run. The swim will take place in a lake, bike off-road trails and trail run. All safe and fun!
The USA Triathlon Youth Event Series is open to athletes ages 6-11.
The focus is on PARTICIPATION rather than competition. The series will expose youth participants to USA Triathlon and the exciting world of multisport! This event will NOT be timed. All events within the series will be USA Triathlon sanctioned.
EVENT DETAILS
The events have two age categories:
- Ages 6-8
- Ages 9-11
Children may do any stroke while swimming, but may not use flotation devices such as: pull-buoys, kick-boards or fins.
All participants will receive a medal, t-shirt and swim cap.
- Cost for Each Child $20
- All participants must have a USAT annual membership. See info above for a FREE annual membership
WHY PARTICIPATE?
- Exposes and educates youth to the multi-sport lifestyle, all while being involved in a fun, exciting, and safe atmosphere! It will really help you to “get your feet wet!”
- Engages youth athletes in pre-race and post-race activities such as vendor areas, clinics, and additional educational opportunities.
- Creates an opportunity to meet friends and other youth athletes who are interested and also engage in the multi-sport lifestyle!
